Step-by-Step Guide for Traveling with Your Pet

1. Register Early
Reserve space for your pet as early as possible – ideally during ticket purchase.

2. Check Documents & Health Requirements
Verify entry regulations for your destination country. Ensure all required paperwork (EU Pet Passport, vaccination records, microchip details) is complete and have your pet inspected by a veterinarian.

3. Airport Check-in
Arrive at the check-in desk with your pet and carrier at least 2 hours prior to departure. Boarding passes for pet owners are issued at the airport counter.

Tips for a Relaxed Journey

  • Carrier Training: Familiarize your pet with the travel carrier weeks before your flight using positive reinforcement.
  • Familiar Items: Place a favorite blanket or toy inside the carrier to provide comfort during travel.
  • Feeding Schedule: Avoid heavy meals before departure and consult your vet regarding feeding times.
  • Sedation Precautions: Only administer sedatives under explicit veterinary instructions, as cabin pressure can affect medication impact.
